Most people prefer to entrust their construction or renovation works to an experienced professional. But some DIY enthusiasts enjoy getting their hands dirty and will use our installation guide to quench their home improvement thirst. This is absolutely doable, you just need to take certain important guidelines into account. Below a brief description of the Cedral Lap and Cedral Click installation procedure and relevant points of attention.
Cedral Lap (overlapping)
- Attach the lower strip to the start profile.
- Secure the sidings with screws, keeping a distance of 60 cm between sidings.
- Make sure the end of each siding is aligned with a wooden support strip.
- Work your way up from the bottom. Tip: mounting aids are available to ease the Cedral facade strip installation process. The overlap ranges from 25 to 40 mm.
- Important: leave an opening of 1 cm at the top of the facade to ensure proper ventilation.
It is highly recommended to follow all the steps provided in our installation guide in order to make sure your Cedral Lap sidings are installed properly.
Cedral Click (clicked together with our tongue and groove system)
- Attach the lower strip to the start profile.
- For securing the sidings, use the specially designed clips available at the reseller. Connect one clip to each batten where two Cedral Click planks meet.
- Use an electric screwdriver to secure the clips with screws.
- Make sure the end of each strip is aligned with a wooden support strip and work your way up from the bottom.
- Important: leave an opening of 1 cm at the top of the facade to ensure proper ventilation.
