Cedral Lap fibre cement cladding has helped to transform a two-storey property located in the heart of Suffolk, into a stunning family home.

The redevelopment features the original property and a newly built extension. Cedral Lap has been used to clad the exterior of the striking project, working in harmony with the original structure to provide a unique exterior.

Cedral Lap was specified in colour Grey and installed in a horizontal pattern. Penny Stevens, the homeowner, commented: “We wanted to create a home that was timeless, whilst boasting a traditional aesthetic using low maintenance materials. We chose Cedral Lap as its benefits were exactly what we were looking for.

“Once we saw Cedral Lap, we were really impressed with the material and the opportunity it gave for creativity. That’s when we decided to use Cedral Lap across the entire property.”

Cedral Lap is an external fibre cement cladding material that offers homeowners and self builders the opportunity to achieve a bespoke design. With a minimum life expectancy of 50 years, Cedral makes an attractive and durable alternative to traditional cladding materials.

Penny continued: “The main reason we specified Cedral Lap was due to its versatility, which allowed us to be artistic in our design and create a stunning exterior to our home.

Cedral Lap’s installation method is designed so that the planks are overlapped to create a clapboard effect, which perfectly complements the original structure.

Penny concluded: “We’re extremely pleased with the finished result, Cedral Lap looks brilliant and we are thrilled with the colour, it is exactly what we envisioned.”
