You can find out how to clean your Cedral Terrace properly and maintain it in the best possible way here.
Cleaning and maintenance of your Cedral Terrace - General information
These simple tips will help you to maintain your patio floor with simple means and little effort.
Gentle cleaning Typical soiling such as simple dirt can usually be removed with a high-pressure cleaner (max. 80 bar & 20 cm distance / cold water). Always work in the direction of the slope when cleaning. A plastic brush can also be helpful. The basic rule is: Chemical agents should always be the last resort and are rarely necessary.
Quick cleaning Try to remove dirt from the Cedral Terrace in a particularly timely manner. Especially if the floorboards are soiled with substances containing grease or oil, irreversible discolouration of the floorboards can occur. Rely on cleaning combinations that are specially made for the soiling. We would be pleased to inform you about this personally.
Avoidance of damage Scratches and marks in the planks make cleaning the Cedral Terrace difficult and allow dirt to settle in it. You can avoid such damage to the planks by using flat feet and furniture glides.
Cleaning the Cedral Terrace - When is the best time?
Extensive cleaning of your Cedral patio boards is recommended on the following occasions:
Cleaning during installation Various types of soiling can occur during the installation of the decking boards. In order to prevent these from affecting the result, it is best to provide cleaning agents in advance. Dry soiling on the planks should be removed by brushing before the end of the work, otherwise you will achieve good results with water and a soft brush.
Initial cleaning after installation Sweep the entire terrace surface dry first. Then remove any dirt from the boards with running water, if necessary using a plastic brush carefully. Finally, rinse the loosened dirt over a large area, if necessary also with a high-pressure cleaner (see above).
Regular cleaning & care It is best to clean your Cedral Terrace twice a year. Such a regular basic cleaning can prevent impurities from settling on the surface. It is best to carry out this cleaning in spring and autumn.
The procedure is exactly the same as for the initial cleaning, but the terrace floor must remain constantly moist to prevent the dissolved dirt from re-setting. It is possible to use a high-pressure cleaner; the instructions for use described above apply.
