The owners of this detached house in the north-west of France wanted to extend their living area with a generous terrace. Their countryside house was built in natural stone, so they were looking for an authentic material to complement it. The rounded edges of the approximately 100 m² terrace emphasises the Mediterranean style of the building.
The owners choose Cedral Terrace fibre-cement decking boards as they are robust and can easily stand the harsh and dusty countryside environment. Moreover, the terrace planks are low-maintenance. With a broom and a mop, you keep them as new. No need to paint or stain!
Installation is easy. The terrace boards are fixed invisibly to a strong aluminium substructure using a proprietary stapling technique. This will guarantee outdoor pleasure for years on end, especially because it does not splinter or crack.

Lamballe is putting it to the friends test
Lenaic from Lamballe says:
‘I installed my 100m² terrace myself. It took me about four days, and I took particular care to put the right substructure together to make sure the whole structure would be stable. But it was quite simple to instal and the planks are very easy to cut to the right shape.
‘I like my Cedral Terrace. It gives a very nice look to my house. It’s low maintenance and non-slip. The colour has faded a bit, but as it is homogenous it is not a problem.
‘Taking care of it is easy so far. I have already removed a few stains very easily. But the real test will come with the barbeque season and what my friends put it through. I’m sure they’ll love it.’
